How Dark works in PokéSurvivor
The game ships a simplified type chart, not the mainline one, so Dark does not carry every interaction you may remember. It hits ghost for 2× and psychic for 2× and is resisted by dark for 0.5×, fairy for 0.5× and fighting for 0.5×. Against everything else it stays at 1×, so Dark damage is a safe default rather than a matchup pick. The chart lives in the same source snapshot as every other number on this page.
Dark partners and where they rank
60 of the 966 partners carry Dark, 49 of them as part of a dual typing. 7 sit in the 5★ pool and 0 are free starters. The strongest is Roaring Moon at rank 3 with 117 HP and 128 speed, while Poochyena sits at rank 930. The median three-stat percentile across the group is 61.0, which is well above the roster average of about 50.
What hits Dark hardest
bug, fairy and fighting deal double damage into Dark. It takes half damage from dark and ghost. It takes nothing at all from psychic. For dual-type partners the multipliers stack, so a Dark partner that also carries a second type can end up with weaknesses that neither type has on its own — check the partner page before assuming Dark is the defensive story.
Dark moves and their damage
5 moves in the pool are Dark. By raw damage per second at level 1 the order starts with Bite at 37.8 damage per second, Sucker Punch at 31.4 damage per second and Night Shade at 18 damage per second. Level 5 and the matching attack multiplier change that order for individual partners, so the partner pages list each pool's own ranking instead of a single site-wide one. 5 of them can evolve, and the evolution is always a card pick during a run, never a permanent purchase.
