Missing progress on another device? Start here
Keep the browser and device where you earned the missing Pokémon, gacha result or reward intact. Reopen the official game there, using the same browser profile and cloud account. In Settings → Account, check the save status: Saved in the cloud, Saving…, Waiting to upload (uploads when you leave the game), or Offline: it will upload when you're back. Let the original device reconnect and show Saved in the cloud, then re-enter the same account on the other device and check the missing reward. The October 13 fix specifically recommends reopening where the reward was earned. This can upload an intact local cache; it cannot recreate deleted guest progress or a deleted save.
Link Gmail while you can still sign in
1. Sign in to the official game with the name and password of the cloud account holding your progress. 2. At the menu, the recovery prompt can offer Link my Gmail. Choose it and select a Gmail that does not already own a separate game account. 3. Complete the Google popup and look for the Gmail-linked confirmation. This attaches Google to your current account; it is not a transfer between two accounts. Keep access to that Gmail. The Lab never handles this sign-in.
Recover a forgotten password with the linked Gmail
At the official login screen, Forgot your password? explains the recovery option. If you linked Gmail beforehand, choose Sign in with Google and select that same Gmail: the source routes you to the same account. A different Gmail can lead to a different account. If no Gmail was linked and you cannot sign in with the old password, this new mechanism cannot recover the account. Preserve any device still signed in and consult the official project before destructive changes; do not assume that a new account inherits old progress.
If Gmail linking fails or the prompt is missing
That Gmail already has its own game account. Use another Gmail. means the selected Gmail is attached elsewhere; choose another eligible Gmail, rather than deleting or merging either account. Sign in first. means there is no current signed-in account to link. If the popup is blocked, cancelled or fails, linking has not succeeded: check the shown error and retry from the official prompt when available. The prompt is for name/password cloud accounts without Google linked, not guests or local-only accounts. Not now dismisses it for the current session. Don't ask again stores a per-account choice in this browser. Already-linked accounts and opted-out browsers do not get the offer; no Settings link button or safe in-game opt-out reset was found in this revision. Do not clear site data to force it back.
A local save is not an instant cloud save
Account changes are cached locally first. Pulls, purchases, new partners and mission rewards receive priority cloud scheduling; normal changes may wait up to the two-hour scheduling interval, and non-record run commits use a 20-minute interval. Urgent actions use a 15-second scheduling interval, but the cloud write code also waits at least 65 seconds after the last successful write. That guard, an offline connection and retries can delay even a priority upload; none promises completion within 65 seconds. These are source scheduling intervals, not guaranteed sync deadlines. Keep the original browser open and use the account status to confirm completion before switching devices.
Protect guest progress
The current executable save code skips writes for guest sessions, and Settings says guest progress is not saved on exit. Local accounts, rather than guests, use browser localStorage. Clearing site data, using another browser profile or changing devices can remove access to a local account save. No official save export/import control was found in the inspected settings and save implementation. Keep the intact browser profile and do not clear site data while you establish whether your progress is synchronized to an account. Do not follow instructions for a fictional export button.
Account synchronization
In the official game, open Settings and its Account section. A guest sees Create account or sign in; selecting it leaves the run and returns to login, so do not assume guest progress migrates. An account’s status shows Saved in the cloud, Saving…, Waiting to upload (uploads when you leave the game), Offline: it will upload when you're back, or Saved only in this browser. Cloud accounts use Firebase, including Google sign-in. This Lab has no game login and cannot read or restore your account. Use the game’s account settings on the same official origin; do not enter passwords into a wiki.
What gets merged
The documented merge keeps the union of owned normal/shiny partners, maxima for upgrades and statistics, and the most recent coins, tickets, pity counters and companion selection; those balances are not added together. That is not a promise that every arbitrary edited file can be recovered. If progress looks missing, check the origin, browser profile and logged-in account before deleting anything.
When recovery is uncertain
No external guide can guarantee restoration after browser data was deleted without an intact account cache or cloud record. Preserve the original device and browser data while checking account and sync state. These steps are based on the official October 14 source; Gmail linking and recovery were not playtested with a real game account. Use the official project’s support channels for account-specific failures.
