How Poison works in PokéSurvivor
The game ships a simplified type chart, not the mainline one, so Poison does not carry every interaction you may remember. It hits fairy for 2× and grass for 2× and is resisted by ghost for 0.5×, ground for 0.5×, poison for 0.5×, rock for 0.5× and steel for 0×. Against everything else it stays at 1×, so Poison damage is a safe default rather than a matchup pick. The chart lives in the same source snapshot as every other number on this page.
Poison partners and where they rank
78 of the 966 partners carry Poison, 62 of them as part of a dual typing. 3 sit in the 5★ pool and 1 are free starters. The strongest is Eternatus at rank 1 with 133 HP and 133 speed, while Kakuna sits at rank 933. The median three-stat percentile across the group is 43.4, which is below the roster average of about 50.
What hits Poison hardest
ground and psychic deal double damage into Poison. It takes half damage from bug, fairy, fighting, grass and poison. No type is fully blocked by it. For dual-type partners the multipliers stack, so a Poison partner that also carries a second type can end up with weaknesses that neither type has on its own — check the partner page before assuming Poison is the defensive story.
Poison moves and their damage
5 moves in the pool are Poison. By raw damage per second at level 1 the order starts with Sludge at 28.3 damage per second, Poison Sting at 23.5 damage per second and Toxic at 20 damage per second. Level 5 and the matching attack multiplier change that order for individual partners, so the partner pages list each pool's own ranking instead of a single site-wide one. 5 of them can evolve, and the evolution is always a card pick during a run, never a permanent purchase.
