How Bug works in PokéSurvivor
The game ships a simplified type chart, not the mainline one, so Bug does not carry every interaction you may remember. It hits dark for 2×, grass for 2× and psychic for 2× and is resisted by fairy for 0.5×, fighting for 0.5×, fire for 0.5×, flying for 0.5×, ghost for 0.5×, poison for 0.5× and steel for 0.5×. Against everything else it stays at 1×, so Bug damage is a safe default rather than a matchup pick. The chart lives in the same source snapshot as every other number on this page.
Bug partners and where they rank
89 of the 966 partners carry Bug, 67 of them as part of a dual typing. 1 sit in the 5★ pool and 0 are free starters. The strongest is Volcarona at rank 43 with 108 HP and 120 speed, while Shuckle sits at rank 966. The median three-stat percentile across the group is 32.7, which is below the roster average of about 50.
What hits Bug hardest
fire, flying and rock deal double damage into Bug. It takes half damage from fighting, grass and ground. No type is fully blocked by it. For dual-type partners the multipliers stack, so a Bug partner that also carries a second type can end up with weaknesses that neither type has on its own — check the partner page before assuming Bug is the defensive story.
Bug moves and their damage
5 moves in the pool are Bug. By raw damage per second at level 1 the order starts with Bug Bite at 31 damage per second, U-turn at 24.3 damage per second and Bug Buzz at 17.8 damage per second. Level 5 and the matching attack multiplier change that order for individual partners, so the partner pages list each pool's own ranking instead of a single site-wide one. 5 of them can evolve, and the evolution is always a card pick during a run, never a permanent purchase.
