How to unlock Porygon-Z

Porygon-Z is not sold directly, so the only route is the Sinnoh banner, where it occupies a 4★ slot. The 4★ band takes 6.5% of all pulls and holds 211 partners, so one specific Porygon-Z works out to about 0.0308% per draw. The 70-pull pity counter only applies to 5★ results, so Porygon-Z has no floor of its own and no targeted pull. A duplicate Porygon-Z refunds 120 coins at the 4★ rate.

Porygon-Z stats and rank

Porygon-Z reads 108 HP, 116 speed, ×1.44 attack, ×1.14 physical, ×1.44 special, 70 defense and 75 special defense, for a 535 base-stat total. On the three-stat percentile this is 81.6 out of 100, which puts Porygon-Z at rank 63 of 966 and in tier S. The relative picture matters more than the total: its strongest slot is special multiplier (97th percentile) and its weakest is defense (51st percentile), so it is a specialist rather than an all-rounder.

Best moves in Porygon-Z's pool

At move level 5 the pool is led by Body Slam at 75.6 damage per 0.71s (121.0 effective DPS, ×1.14 multiplier), then Hyper Beam at 126.2 damage per 1.76s (103.2 effective DPS, ×1.44 multiplier), then Tackle at 33.6 damage per 0.38s (102.1 effective DPS, ×1.14 multiplier). 5 of its 7 damaging moves scale with the physical multiplier and 2 with the special one, alongside 4 support moves. Its special multiplier is the higher of the two (×1.44 against ×1.14), so special moves convert better. The top option beats the second by 17.7 DPS, which decides slot one and leaves slot two as a judgement call. Compare it as throughput, not as damage per hit, because the cooldown is already divided out.

Evolution cards for Porygon-Z

Its starting move, Tackle, evolves into Take Down once the move is at level 5 and you hold the Vigor card, which boosts HP for that run. The permanent menu cannot substitute: only a Vigor card picked during the run unlocks the evolution. 7 of its 11 moves carry an evolution card, across 5 distinct cards (Vigor, Sprint, Power, Reflexes and Armor). The strongest of them is Body Slam at 121.0 effective DPS, so that is the one worth holding a card for first.

Porygon-Z compared to similar partners

The two closest stat lines in the roster are Xurkitree (-1 HP, -3 speed, +0.21 attack, +35 total) and Munkidori (+2 HP, +7 speed, -0.02 attack, +20 total). Against Xurkitree, Porygon-Z is 3 speed faster and Xurkitree hits harder by ×0.21, and the rank gap is 2 places. Every one of those numbers cuts both ways, so the decision is about which stat the run needs, so neither side is a strict upgrade and the move pools have to break the tie.
