How to unlock Noivern
There is no direct purchase for Noivern. It appears on the Kalos banner inside the 4★ pool. The 4★ band takes 6.5% of all pulls and holds 211 partners, so one specific Noivern works out to about 0.0308% per draw. The 70-pull pity counter only applies to 5★ results, so Noivern has no floor of its own and no targeted pull. A duplicate Noivern refunds 120 coins at the 4★ rate.
Noivern stats and rank
The sheet lists Noivern at 108 HP, 130 speed, ×1.23 attack, ×1.08 physical and ×1.23 special, with 80 defense and 80 special defense — 535 base-stat total. On the three-stat percentile this is 78.3 out of 100, which puts Noivern at rank 96 of 966 and in tier A. Relative standing explains more than the total here: its strongest slot is speed (97th percentile) and its weakest is physical multiplier (42nd percentile), so it is a specialist rather than an all-rounder.
Best moves in Noivern's pool
At move level 5 the pool is led by Gust at 31.2 damage per 0.26s (147.8 effective DPS, ×1.23 multiplier), then Dragon Claw at 48.3 damage per 0.39s (133.8 effective DPS, ×1.08 multiplier), then Body Slam at 75.6 damage per 0.71s (114.6 effective DPS, ×1.08 multiplier). 9 of its 16 damaging moves scale with the physical multiplier and 7 with the special one, alongside 5 support moves. Its special multiplier is the higher of the two (×1.23 against ×1.08), so special moves convert better. The top option beats the second by 14.0 DPS, which decides slot one and leaves slot two as a judgement call.
Evolution cards for Noivern
Its starting move, Gust, evolves into Hurricane once the move is at level 5 and you hold the Sprint card, which boosts speed for that run. Menu upgrades use a separate system and never stand in for Sprint. 16 of its 21 moves carry an evolution card, across 5 distinct cards (Vigor, Sprint, Power, Reflexes and Armor). The strongest of them is Gust at 147.8 effective DPS, so that is the one worth holding a card for first.
Noivern compared to similar partners
The two closest stat lines in the roster are Oricorio (-4 HP, -13 speed, +0.01 attack, -59 total) and Golduck (-2 HP, -16 speed, -0.01 attack, -35 total). Against Oricorio, Noivern is 13 speed faster and Oricorio hits harder by ×0.01, and the rank gap is 121 places. Read those deltas as swap costs, because a gain on one line is usually paid for on another, so neither side is a strict upgrade and the move pools have to break the tie.
